Record Your Funeral Wishes

To help you consider the type of funeral you would like, we have created a simple Funeral Wishes form for you to complete and return to us.

Many people find it difficult to discuss their final wishes with family and friends, and as a result these conversations are often postponed or avoided. Completing your Funeral Wishes form provides a thoughtful way to express your preferences in advance, giving you peace of mind and helps your loved ones make arrangements with the reassurance that they are honouring your wishes.

This is not a pre-paid funeral plan and no payment is required to record your Funeral Wishes with us.  Your answers to the questions below will create a free plan of your personal funeral preferences to file with your personal papers until time of need.

You can complete the form online, or download and print a PDF version to fill in by hand. If you would like some help completing the form, please contact us during office hours to arrange an appointment with a member of our fully trained staff, we will be happy to help.  All the information submitted to us will be kept confidential and will only be used for creating your Record of Funeral Wishes.  More information on how we look after your details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

The next steps…

Once we receive your completed Record of Funeral Wishes, we will prepare a formal document for you to keep, which can be reviewed and updated whenever your wishes change.  We will retain a copy on file and email or post a copy to you for your own records. This document should be signed in your handwriting, dated and witnessed. Where possible, we recommend keeping a copy of your Record of Funeral Wishes with your Will.

We will also provide a copy of the document for you to give to your next of kin, executor or to the person most likely to be responsible for arranging your funeral. If your Will is held by a solicitor for safekeeping, there may be a short delay in accessing it at a time when funeral decisions need to be made.
